There's this guy in my grad school program I've been interested for the past couple months now. I finally mustered the courage to ask him to hang out alone at the beginning of November. We hung out, flirted a lot, and overall had a good time. We hung out again a couple weeks ago, except that time, he surprised me with inviting another male student in our grad school program (who is also a mutual friend) and I didn't know about it until he showed up at the place we chose to meet at and he told me. So he's clearly been interpreting these hang outs as JUST hang outs between friends right? (Considering he invited another friend that last hang out without me knowing initially). I'm wondering if it's time for me to make it clear about my romantic intentions in spending time with him by just asking him out on a date, rather than just to "hang out?"
