“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result each time”
I’ve been going through this never-ending cycle of deleting OLD apps, then reinstalling them after a few weeks, rinse and repeat. Each time I wouldn’t get very far and they would just make me feel like total shit about myself. Over the last couple of years that I’ve used them, I’ve probably swiped on thousands of women, started conversations with god knows how many, and only been out with maybe 5, of which nothing of any substance developed. The ROI is too little to even entertain the idea that it’s even worth it.
Personally, I have much more luck in person. Honestly lads, if you’re struggling on these apps, just get rid of ‘em. It’s mostly full of time wasters and wannabe insta influencers that don’t actually want to meet up anyway. Obviously there are some golden nuggets in there to be found, but you’d have to trawl through and experience a lot of dismay to find them. And I know that people will say that they work for some, but for the average bloke, I would say that it’s one of the most depressing things you can do.
For reference, I’m 27M and live in London, UK (a city with a population of approximately 9million people). I’m 6’3, bilingual, got 2 degrees and a full-time career. Not saying these things mean that I deserve any attention at all, just pointing out that even if you have your shit together, it’s tough out there.
