I’ve started messaging a guy who is the first guy I can feel a little bit of a potential spark with since my last relationship ended. On the apps, especially if I am busy, I tend to take a few hours to reply so I assume that plenty of other people are the same. Once we have exchanged numbers I am usually a little quicker, especially if I like them.
Are a lot of you the same? Is this pretty common? I didn’t respond to him until the morning and now I haven’t heard back since then which is the longest he has gone without responding. I’m going to assume he’s just mirroring me or at work but in that regard I’m also hoping I’m not giving off a disinterested vibe myself by taking a while. Should I try to be better about that? If someone took 4 or 5 hours to message you back while still exchanging messages on an app, would you assume they weren’t interested and start backing off or would you wait and see?
