Can I tell this guy I don't want to take things slow anymore? [27F, 28M]

I started seeing this guy about 2 months ago. He seemed to really like me and was very affectionate and complimentary and super eager. I liked him too and I appreciated it, but I was really nervous about jumping into anything because I had broken up with my fiancé and cancelled my wedding earlier this year and it was really heartbreaking. I was mostly on Tinder looking for hookups, he asked me on a proper date and I didn't expect to actually like him.

Anyway, I didn't want him to think I was uninterested so I told him about my aborted wedding (I didn't go into detail about how my fiancé dicked me over, I didn't want to unload everything on this poor dude) and explained that was why it seemed like I was moving at a glacial pace. He said he understood and wouldn't pressure me into anything.

We've been seeing each other 1-2 times a week since then and I really do like him. He has been much less intense since we had that conversation, which I appreciate, but I do feel like I'd be ready to amp up the intensity again.

Is there a way I can bring up that I appreciate that he's slowed things down and I'm ready to take things to the next "level", so to speak? I'm not sure what that would mean, whether it be exclusive or BF/GF or just him being comfortable with being overly affectionate again.
