I love my partner so much, and I know he would make a great husband/dad. We’ve been dating for 4.5 years and long distance for 3.
I think one of our hardest parts of our relationship is that we are both such driven people and want careers. He’s military and I’m in medical school. He’s confused about what he wants to do - stay in or leave.
His decision will really impact our future, but I don’t want to pressure him. I think he’s scared to leave the military because it’s good money and he’s scared of putting himself out into a different career. How do I go about talking about this without pressuring him? I really want him to go for what he WANTS but I’m not sure what he really wants to do. Money is a huge motivator for him (reasonably so), and I’m not making good money for a long time.
