Story time!
I was dating this really sweet guy for about a month. We have a lot in common, had a lot of fun together and bonded pretty quickly because we shared and talked a lot! On our last date he told me that he was really glad our paths crossed, but he also met another girl just before we started dating. Today he called me: to tell me he thinks we have a great connection, but if It’s okay with me to get to know each other better/hang out as just friends. If this scenario happened a year ago I would’ve freaked out! I would’ve been so angry, hurt, sad, but most of all very insecure. Today I can say with 100% confidence: It’s okay ❤️ Sure I’m a little disappointed, but way more grateful he wants to be my friend. There is nothing wrong with me, I’m still a beautiful person, I trust that life just has a different plan for me :)
My wish is that everyone can invite rejection into your life and fully embrace it! Rejection doesn’t make you any less loveable, you’re still an amazing human being, it’s just a great opportunity to love ourselves even more!
