How to let someone down easy when they actually have done everything right?

Hi all. So I (23f) have been talking to this guy (30m) for a couple weeks now. He’s perfect. Genuinely. Extremely thoughtful, shows interest in me and my life, he’s kind to everyone around him, acknowledges where he wants to work on himself, etc. We’re also both in a similar place in our careers/where we see ourselves in the next 5 years and he’s also a fantastic kisser lol.

He’s basically everything I’ve fantasized about in a man but unfortunately we just don’t click. And I’m not saying I want “love at first sight” but we’ve spent time together for about 5 full days now and I just don’t feel any chemistry with him. I’ve felt this way for a while now but I wanted to give it some extra chances because he really seems like a great guy.

Unfortunately I just don’t think we’re a good fit. I don’t think it’s appropriate to do over text but I don’t really have a reason to say when I do it in person. The worst part is, I have a feeling he thinks we’re a great match so it might come as a shock to him. How do I break this off in a nice way?

TL;DR: I’m talking to a cookie cutter perfect man and while he might think we’re doing well I just don’t feel a connection at all. How do I end this in a nice way?

edit: reworded a sentence for clarity
