Guy I’m seeing is super interested and wants something serious. Told him I’m seeing someone else as well. Guys how’d you react to this?

I do like this guy more and want something serious with him. The other guy is just kind of a fwb and I want to end it with him so I can pay attention to other guy. Anyways, guys, was this a bad move telling him? Just had to make it clear and hide nothing.
