So, my ex (F20s) and I (M22) are set to get coffee tomorrow. She and I haven't texted in 3 years and I ran into her last week by coincidence so we decided to start texting again. Now, back when I dated her she was nerdy, quirky, fun to be around and only sometimes smoked weed. She didn't seem dependent on it, I should say. She had gotten out of a relationship and we just didn't work out because of that. Anyways, she lets me through text know what she's been up to in the past 3 years and... She's changed. I said nothing to really warrant any of this information, other than asking what she's been up to since we split: She's slept with so many people that she's lost headcount (I meanwhile lost my virginity last year), she had a sugar daddy, she does hard drugs now, hangs with her "wild friends," and she bragged about "gambling all her money" in Vegas. She has a job in fast food (she dropped out of Uni) while I'm trying to get a bachelor's degree to top it all off. I mean... To see my 1st girlfriend I've ever had turn into such... a loser is sad to see. I'm sorry, but we're just too different and I have to call this off. Just too many red flags and I don't have time for that! Should I feel bad? I almost never cancel coffee dates but this is an exception. Some have said that I'm being judgy and that I should suck it up and keep the date set; I don't agree with that but maybe I'm handling this wrong...
