This is just something I have been thinking about recently, as I have been interested in a guy who's three years younger than me. Although I know this age gap is not big at all, it still feels like it would be considered weird by others.
With most people around me, friends and family, who are in a heterosexual relationship, the guy is older than the girl. It typically is a couple years as well, pretty much always at least 3 years older. I have never met any couple where the girl is older, unless it's like, a difference of only a couple months.
What are your thoughts about this? Is this just in my head or is it actually considered weirder for women to date younger men? If that is the case, why is it that way?
Edit: might have to add that I’m 21 and he’s recently turned 18. Does that make it weirder?
