It's been about a year since my divorce has been finalized and decided to start dating again.
Currently I am seeing a 39 [F], she is a family physician. Also recently divorced. We both have a child similar ages. Chemistry has been good and I think we have a good connection so far. It's not serious yet, we will see how it develops.
My friends think I should take advantage of being single again and date younger. Like early to mid 20's. They called me a "silver fox". I have salt and pepper hair and beard. I'm in good shape though, regularly active, and I'm 6'3. By society's standards I could be classified as "good looking" I guess.
Financially I'm well off enough. Most of my wealth is in assets though. Aside from my car and a few watches though I don't show off my wealth. I live pretty modestly.
I can see where my friends are coming from. Some of them were big nerds in their younger years and were not very confident with women. Now that they are successful they are trying to make up for lost time. So some of them do date much younger.
I'm not really that big into sex though. Sure I like it if I have a good connection with the person but I never prioritized it the way I see other men do. I really don't think dating younger is good for me. Many younger women will date men like me for the money. After my ex I'm not looking for another woman that I will have to support financially. I'm hoping to find a woman that has more confidence and is already successful as well.
