my boyfriend and i have been on and off dating for three years now, it’s been toxic but we’ve become more on the same page about everything and more transparent about shit that bothers us, recently i’ve noticed all of my friends and his best friend have been getting engaged. he refuses to propose and everytime i think he is he doesn’t. i’m so ready to get married and start a family with this man but the question never pops up when i think it will. does he have commitment issues? is he ever going to propose or am i just getting my hopes up only to be let down, marriage is important to me and my values. am i being irrational about this and my time will come. at this point i don’t think he will ever propose, what does that mean if he doesn’t but he knows how closely i hold marriage to my life. i guess what i’m saying is if he doesn’t propose should we even stay together
