Title pretty much says it all.
More details: I just moved into a new place after 3 1/2 years of living with family and now that I’m pretty much settled in, it’s time for me to get back out there and start dating again. I just plan on going slow just to see if things will work out because I’m guilty of going too far too fast in the past.
I’m both divorced (married for 7 years but we weren’t in love as much as we thought and it’s now gotten to the point where the ex and I don’t even mention the marriage- we’re still very good friends to this day) and lost the woman who her and my family considered my soulmate (heart problems her entire life- she passed away last July). You could pretty much say my luck with women isn’t the best so I’m hoping third times the charm.
Considering I hadn’t really dated since high school (graduated in 2003 aka 17 YEARS AGO) and even then my track record was spotty, plus the fact I’m on the autism spectrum, I’m behind the eight ball. I know typical high school ideas aren’t going to work for someone in their mid 30s, I just need to know how to start. I’m not making excuses; it’s just how it is.
With COVID throwing a wrench into everything, I’m just wondering how should I begin. I’m ready to get back on the scene and show that someone out there that I’m worth the time and the effort that I want to put into any prospective relationship.
