30M. Average looking guy, in decent shape. I've been using dating apps for years with absolutely no luck.
This may have been the last straw...Went on a date with a girl last week that I really liked. Conversation over the phone was great and we vibed REALLY well in person. We sat in the cold, laughing and talking for hours because neither of us wanted to leave. This was probably the best I've felt after walking away from a first date after dozens and dozens of them. She thought the same and said she had lots of fun and I was super easy to get along with. We continued talking after the date and had made tentative plans for a second date (she said she was super busy with work and couldn't pick a specific day at the time but was interested). We still chatted everyday. Last night I asked if she knew what night she would be free this week and she hit me with the ...."You're a really nice guy and I had a great time on our date and chatting with you, but I've been on a few dates with another guy and I want to see where it goes".
This happens to me 90% of the time. The other 10% I get ghosted.
This one hit the hardest. It's just so hard to find people that I vibe with like that.
I do have some social anxiety and putting myself out there is super draining. It's infinitely worse when you basically get told you're not good enough by someone you're into.
I dislike being single but this stuff is getting old.
I apologize for the rant. I have noone else to vent to and just stumbled across this subreddit.
