A couple of days ago, I (18m) went to my neighbor/close friend’s wedding. Since he and his wife are only only a few years older than me (20ish) so were the bridesmaids. During the dinner, my friend came up to me and told me that one of them was crushing on me, and said I was cute. Being inexperienced and not super confident, I pretty much didn’t interact much with her that evening. Only when I was about to leave did I actually go up and ask for her number, then texted her when I got home.
Now the thing I’m confused about. She seems to be enthusiastic when talking to me: a couple of :), some hahas, and exclamation points. But she takes a long time to respond, and even while we’re taking we only exchange a couple of messages before dropping off. Eventually she always responds but I still feel anxious.
Is there some way to at least deal with that anxiety, or navigate this somehow? I don’t have a lot of experience and don’t want to mess this up.
