She (F18) is still longing on her ex. I (M20) made the hard decision to not continue meeting/dating her. Have you guys experienced any of this? And is it normal to still be sad even after a month?

We only know each other for a month. Our relationship is more than friends but not boyfriend/girlfriend. We are constantly updating each other of our daily routines/activities through messages, we only met like 4 times because of the spread of covid 19 virus. So, I unintentionally asked her if she is still longing on her ex (They were on a ON-AND-OFF RELATIONSHIP for 3 years and MAYBE broke up like a year ago.) She said that, she is sometimes longing on her ex and remembers him because she is also a friend of her ex's family. And yeah, I called her and made the hard decision (which is really sad) to not to continue knowing/dating her anymore. Because how could you love another person if you are not yet over your ex.

edit: This is supposedly my first relationship but yeah still sad for what happened.
