So, I (m/18 yo) met these two girls (both 17 yo) back in September/October last year, at a sort of prom (idk how it's in the us, but in our region it's public and there are mostly 15-20 yo who drink a lot, and parents). So I texted both and one eventually ghosted me, and i had coffee with the other one in december (I think we both perceived it as a date). The date was fine, we had a lot of fun and she talked a lot.
However, over text, she never really had elaborate responses and only once started a conversation over text. Also when navigating into dead ends, I mostly kept the conversation going.
Fast forward to last Saturday. There was yet again a sort of prom by the fire brigade, and the one who ghosted me played with a band. I arrived late and only saw the last few songs, and didn't see her. So around 00:45 am I see her, and we are both pretty euphoric (she looked pretty happy). So her school mates go home, and we have a wine, talk and another drink.
Later we go outside with the other girl and her soon to be bf, to get some fresh air (we both don't smoke ^^) and idiot me doesn't get the signs and after a few seconds akward eye-contact we make out (she knows I don't have the best social skills, I always make self depricating jokes about it). It was amazing and along the night we made out a few more times, and the other couple did too.
However over the course of the night her body language was not really open and cold i guess, and she kinda avoided proximity, unless we were about to make out, whereas the other couple was pretty much melting into oneanother. I mean we were all mildly intoxicated, and she said she was pretty tired.
At the end of the night I went home alone assuming she was going to sleep at her female friend (she lives pretty remote), However it turns out the other guy persuaded her friend to sleep at/with him, and she (so my hopefully gf) had to call her mum at like 5am to pick her up with like a 20 min drive. I offered before (jokingly, but with a serious subtext) that she could sleep at/with me, but she seemed like she was uncomfortable with it and I would have been too.
So on the next day I text her pretty early how she got home, and she replied with like 3 words, and pretty insufficient. I also texted her that it was a great night and she just said "Yeah :)" and I didn't know what to do, so i just left it at that because I was hungover and had to do a lot for school.
So what is going on, did i fuck it up? Did she feel pressured to make out with me? Does she just not like texting? Was she just hungover and tired while texting? I feel like I can't really judge any signs anymore, as the kiss out of the blue made me confused enough. The askreddit thread about men where the one guy said: "You have to scream FUCK ME NOW at the top of your lungs, and i would still be confused" felt far too relatable.
I seriously need a objective opinion :(
Tl;Dr met a girl in october, had a date in december, and saturday we made out. Because of her avoidant, cold body language and short, apathetic texts i feel like i fucked things up.
Also I watched the trial by kafka two times yesterday so maybe that fucked my mental state up even more
