I'm two years removed from high school and I miss the dating scene back then. Now granted, all of my experience in the dating scene since has been on dating apps.
I just feel like dating is just this big sea of people that have absolutely no idea what they are looking for. To make it worse, it's like this big game to everyone. I should take chess lessons because that's what it has turned into. I don't even know why I'm writing this. I miss the simplicity of dating as a teenager. You only went on dates with someone if you actually liked them. Now there are so many underlying motives that you truly don't even know how someone feels until you're walking down the aisle. And even that's not guaranteed.
I just realized this is more of an advice sub but who cares, this is probably a problem we all face. It just gets frustrating but I guess I need to do a better job asking about what they are looking for and focusing more on that.
