Alright. So this has been on my mind for a while now and I’m not really sure what to do. So here we go:
I, 16 M (hs sophomore), have never really been great when it comes to reading social cues and anything related to relationships. Ac pipeline days ago, though, this girl (same age and grade) that I like, “asked” me to Sadies. At first, I was enthralled like any ordinary high school would be. Then I began to run the calculations through my head and began to think that it wasn’t real as her friend jokingly asked another guy to Sadies.
So I wasn’t sure. After a couple of hours, I decided on a course of action: I would ask if it was real, but say that I would be down to go with her if it was legit.
Then it all went to hell. She said t wasn’t and told me she was joking. Then I realised that she would never ask me or say that she’d like me even in my wildest dreams. It really got me down and it kinda started a really awful week for me.
It’s only now that I’ve realised that maybe reddit might have an answer to what I should do. I have to interact with her once more (because of some club stuff) and I’m not sure what to do: Should I try to mend that bond, if so how? Or is it just not worth it?
