Is it normal for a guy who’s just a friend to always text after hanging out?

I’m 24F. Been talking to this guy I know thru mutuals, it’s been really nice. I noticed that after hanging out, he always texts that he had a good time and if I got home safe which is so kind.

I don’t have too many guy friends, but the ones I do don’t really do this….or anything remotely close.
