Should I keep trying? 23f 24m

So this guy and I have been talking for a few months. Early on, he told me I was his dream girl, that he saw a future with me, and that he liked feeling “needed and wanted” by the person he was seeing.

So I’ve tried really hard to show him that. I’ve made him cookies, told him I miss him, initiated plans, and been honest about how I feel. But lately, I’m getting almost nothing in return. I unadded him a few weeks back because I was at this point with him and he called me and we “worked” things out or at least I thought we did. He started calling more and just last week his told me that he still really liked me and all this but ever since then he regularly ignores me for 12+ hours at a time, even after I open up. I’ve tried making plans on his days off — which he agreed to — and then he blew me off, three times saying he was too tired. The one time I went over, we didn’t talk at all, and the next morning felt like a pity hangout.

I’ve asked him directly if we can talk about where we stand or what he wants, and I get silence or “I don’t know” answers. I’ve tried being flirty, casual, emotional, serious — nothing changes. And now I’m at the point where I feel sick from all the overthinking and stress this is causing.

So my question is: Should I try one more time to have a serious conversation with him, or just stop reaching out altogether?

I want closure, but I don’t want to keep chasing someone who clearly doesn’t care. Is there any respectful way to say “I’m done” without making it overly dramatic?
