In my (23F) experience, a lot of men I'm attracted to will make the first move if they're interested or try to find ways to place themselves in situations where they're around their object of affection and try to get to know them.
In my case, I'm extremely shy and awkward around people that I'm attracted to and find it hard to directly reciprocate if a man starts to flirt on the first encounter, which makes it hard to display interest.
I'm interested in someone at work and have been trying to find ways to see him to strike up a casual conversation. Unfortunately, I have not had such luck. Is there a proper way to make the first move on a guy who's relatively friendly and socially confident? Is the situation a lost cause if he doesn't seem to be the one doing the chasing? Is there a way to attract his attention in a good way?
