I used to have a really flaky scalp due to genetics, but after seeing a dermatologist and using certain products I've managed to reduce the problem significantly. However, it’s really difficult to get rid of all the small flakes, which aren’t noticeable unless you’re looking very closely (I don’t notice them unless I get super close to the mirror). Plus, it is pretty noticeable during/right after the shower.
Just to clarify, it's not a hygiene issue but a genetic one, and it's usually not noticeable unless I’m in the shower or unless you’re looking very closely- which concerns me because seeing me in the shower and being close to me are things someone I’m dating would do. I’d really like to know- would this be a significant issue for you, or even a deal breaker? And in terms of advice, how should I handle this? Should I try to explain or just hope my partner doesn’t notice? What do I do if they think it’s gross?
