A little tip for guys (and gals) who are worried about being a “meal ticket”

So I was inspired by this video (https://youtu.be/Y4E8qEDi_xg) and a few of the comments to make this.

I imagine for college student it kinda sucks to go on a date and to have the person you are with expect you to 100% pay the bill and then you get ghosted the day after.

In order to avoid being someone meal ticket I would strongly recommend going on first dates that are not at restaurants. I like the coffee date followed by something like a hike/ walk or local events (especially in a college town).

If they want to get a free meal out of you they have to go through a few boring (for them) dates first and it probably isn’t worth it, also if they stick around they are well worth paying for imo. At least they have given “us” a shot.

Hell, even getting to know the person better gives you a better understanding of what kind of “who pays” view they have.

Of course, assuming you are not rolling in cash, make sure you budget how much you plan to spend on the date and always assume you are paying for two so bring enough cash (even the ladies, as you never know if your date will leave through the bathroom and you’d be stuck paying).

Good luck! Dating sucks a lot but when you meet the right person it is 100% worth it!
