So I (M29) was dating this girl (F25) for about 6 weeks. We've been intimate a few times, slept over a few times. Used to text eachother throughout the day.
It was a summer fling because she's only in town for an internship. We both knew this but sort of just ignored it and we had conversations about staying in touch (she's back next summer, she wanted me to visit her, etc.).
Wednesday: last day in town. We see eachtoher, she tells me to visit her and stay with her. we are super lovey/dovey.
Thurs night, she leaves. texts me before she goes. Tells me she's sad about leaving, says don't forget me, etc. I say the same.
Fri, she texts me. same deal, don't forget me. etc. I say similar stuff
Sat, I text her just asking how she is. No response.
Sunday, I text her again. Just asking how she is again. Short response. Something like: "hey I'm back in Portugal now. <3. How are you?" I respond. Send her 3 texts telling her about my weekend. Sent a 4th follow up text with an inside joke about an hour later. she "read" the 3 texts. But the follow-up is unread.
Currently Wednesday, and I'm still left on Unread. She's been online on Instagram and "online" on whatsapp for the past 4 days.
Nothing was going to happen long term with this because of the distance but I'm still a little surprised/sad/confused at how quickly she seems to have just forgotten me. Is this normal?
