Hello! I really need some advice and tips from anyone who has experience with navigating flirtation with a coworker.
I am interested in my coworker, I have been for a really long time and back when we were in the office we would go get lunch the two of us, stay late together and I tried to do a couple flirtatious things (they were probably very subtle I’m not a big flirt).
Now we are remote and I’m wondering if the window has closed or if it’s still possible to at the very least begin a friendship without being too forward. The firm we work for is fairly small (<50 employees) and people don’t really hang out outside of work. I don’t know how to initiate anything without it being way out of left field. We are on different clients so even if we were back in the office we wouldn’t see each other every day.
In addition, I have no idea if he would even be interested. While he has gone out of his way to spend time with me, he is also so nice and caring to everyone that it’s really hard to say.
We are both in our late 20s. I’m 90% sure he is single (he was pre COVID no idea if he’s seen anyone since then)
Part of me is thinking YOLO, another is saying let this go there are too many risks - or maybe when things return to normal there will be a better time.
Please any advice??
