So I've (M32) been talking to this girl (F29) online for a few days and we seem to get on great. Something is bothering me though. During a conversation she mentioned that she isn't working because of covid which is fine. I say oh no worries what where you doing before then and she said I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT I, I reply oh ok no problem, she says TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE. Sure no problem and we talk about other things and the conversation returns to normal.
My thoughts are this is a mental health thing, maybe she self harmed or attempted to take her life. I have had someone close to me take their life recently and I don't want to get involved with someone who might be anywhere near that headspace.
Have I got it totally wrong because of my experience or does she sound like she's had recent mental health issues? What else could it be?
