Her doctor told her she has an ovarian cysts which caused her to have naturally higher testosterone production, which was causing her acne. * she had no body hair, or “maleness”*
She started spirolactone, and over the next month she lost energy, libido, and her normal physical touch intimacy we shared. (Cuddling, playing with hair, showering together, general sex initiation)
Over the next 3 months, her skin is FLAWLESS.
She’s getting into skin care, now that she actually can. Before she couldn’t use skin care products, scared that they may make her acne worse.
I didn’t realize how much of her affection for me was libido based, and had to do with her (testosterone/hormone) levels that were killed by spirolactone.
Before Spirolactone: * Sex 4-5x a week at least. * Sometimes 10x * 3x on a really stressful week.
After Spirolactone: * 1x every 2 weeks, maybe * She is unable to vaginally orgasm anymore; we can have sex 30 minutes nonstop. It doesn’t matter.
It takes me 2-3x as long to climax now as well. Sometimes we stop due to dryness.
I feel really weird bc I remember what it was like when she was really into it.
It’s just a very strange experience for both of us.
We’ve talked about it. I asked if it was me, and if she were still attracted to me. She cried and told me yes, it’s just the medication.
What is the right answer to this?
