After sex with a girl I met online, her replies have slowed down (sick + exams + Christmas) – red flag or bad timing? Need honest opinions.

Hey Reddit, I (M, early 30s) need some outside perspectives on this situation because I’m starting to overthink it. I’ll try to give all the relevant details without dragging it out too long. Background: I met this girl (F, late 20s, let’s call her M) on a dating app a couple of months ago. We started chatting casually, but it quickly turned flirty and sexual – lots of teasing, sharing fantasies, sending pics/videos (nothing crazy, but definitely NSFW). She’s got this playful, confident personality, loves banter, and we built up a ton of chemistry online. We’ve never met in person until recently, but the chats were consistent and hot – she’d reply within hours, even when busy. She’s been stressed with some exams, and mentioned being anxious, but still engaged. Overall, she seemed really into me – saying things like “I need you so bad,” “I like how much you want me,” and even “I like it a lot” when I talked about owning her in a dominant way (our dynamic is flirty/dom-sub vibe). The Sex: About a week ago, she was staying at a hotel near my workplace. She informed me that she was staying there. We hugged, kissed, went up to her room, and had sex. It was intense and amazing. She was super into it, no issues, and we cuddled after. I left late, sent a “got home safe, tonight was amazing” text, she replied “glad you’re safe, I enjoyed it too ❤️.” The Issue – Slow Replies Post-Sex: Since then, her responses have slowed way down. She mentioned getting sick right after (flu-like, not eating, exhausted), had to reschedule the exam. She replied to my check-ins saying she’s ill, working despite it, sleeping early. I sent supportive messages like “rest up, you’ve got this” and a Merry Christmas Eve one yesterday afternoon, but no reply yet (over 24 hours, and it’s Christmas Day now). She’s viewed my stories (active on IG), but no text. Before sex, replies were quick (hours, not days). Now, it’s 24-48 hours or more. Christmas is busy, she’s sick/stressed, but it feels off – like maybe post-sex regret, or she’s pulling back. My Thoughts: • We had great chemistry online and in person, but maybe it was more casual for her? • I’m not needy – I’ve kept messages light, supportive, no double-texting. But as a guy, 48 hours silence after sex feels like a fade-out. • Red flag or just bad timing (sick + exams + holidays)? Should I cut it off, ghost, or send one more check-in? What do you think, Reddit? Is this a sign she’s not interested, or am I overthinking? Any similar stories or advice on how to handle? Thanks in advance!
