Back in 2017/2018 I was travelling around New Zealand F23 for about a year and I met a really lovely guy who lived there M28 and we spent so much time together although we both knew it would have to come to an end at some point. After I left NZ in July 2018 he was travelling Europe and dropped into see me for a few days. (I lived in the UK at this point) it was so lovely to see him again and really it was like we had never been apart. Yet when he got back to NZ the conversations became one sided he rarely replied or made well any effort with any communication really. I brought him up on it and he said it was the best he could do, which was about 2 messages a month. I really got tierd of this, yes I understand we live worlds apart but we really did mean something to one another or so I thought. I cut all contact with him as it was to painful waiting around to see if he would message. I now live in Switzerland and we have recently started talking again and it feels a little more normal maybe because I'm not so fixated on his replies. But anyhow in September I am going to Thailand to study and we're talking about meeting up or so it seems which would mean me going to NZ? Is this wise or is it just going to add insult to injury?
