This situation has happened to me 3 times already. We plan to meet on a specific day and then the day of I will text her to figure out a time and location and I get no response. Can someone explain why people think its ok to make plans with someone and then ghost them the day of, when its typically too late to make other plans? A simple "Hey! I decided I don't have time to date now, I have to focus on my work. Im really sorry" would be sufficient. I don't expect people to tell the truth. I know the usual reason why people do this is because they lose interest and I get that would be difficult and awkward to communicate. I don't think its too much to ask for someone to cancel instead of ignoring me.
I just really don't understand how some people have such little respect for others.
Is this a really common thing?
I'm a lesbian if that makes a difference.
