Possibly dating a moocher/opportunist. Should I end it?

Hi everyone,

So I'm a 25 year old female dating a 25 year old male. We are not boyfriend/girlfriend, but it looks like things may be headed in that direction.

He is a really nice guy, great job, great personality. The only problem is that I think he is a user/opportunist. He seems to really only hang out with people that benefit his life in some way. For example, he constantly hangs out with one friend because he has an at home gym and, given the circumstances of gyms being closed, he drives to this friend's house every day to workout. Also, he drives to another friend's house daily to do his work because he doesn't like to work from home.

Now in regards to me. I live by myself in an apartment in a city. His job is maybe 2 minutes from where I live. He lives at his parent's home -- 30 minutes away from the city/his job. Well as you could have guessed, he is ALWAYS asking to spend the night. Actually asking is a nice word. He always expects to spend the night. There are multiple times where I have told him "no" and he actually gets mad/sad/guilt trips me about it. I personally need/want my personal space. I also don't like the idea of pretty much shaking up with someone who is not my boyfriend. Ultimately, I feel like he is using me... for my apartment.

I have confronted him about this before. I told him that I kind of felt like he was treating me like a hotel. He denied it and apologized for it, but his actions didn't change. He still has a tantrum when I tell him he can't spend the night.

So what do you think I should do? Is this a big deal enough to end it? I feel pretty disrespected/unconsidered.
