I suppose this can be a question for the guys out there too, just vice versa. YES obviously this was everyone before the 2000's, but at this day and age, everyone younger than me (I'm 30) has really only known instant communication when it comes to dating, or conmunication in general. Everything has just sort've..evolved with it. And now it's basically an expectation.
I get pretty bad anxiety. When it comes to dating, it is extremely anxiety inducing when it comes to texting and dating. I cannot stand it. You over think, they overthink, people come to stupid conclusions if you aren't constantly in touch. I find that in general, not having even any Social Media at all is the most liberating feeling. I recently deleted all of it (Facebook, Snapchat, etc.) When I run into friends or people I know around town, conversation seems to come so much easier for me because I wasn't forced to see what they ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day the last year. I have things to talk about. Everything is new.
Which brings me to the title. Lately I've thought about just turning off texting as well. I think it would be interesting, even as an experiment more than anything. Would it be a deal breaker for you, if the only way you could speak to someone you're dating, is if you called or got together?
