As a guy i am told i should move slowly with a women and not make immediate moves but in reality i see women getting bored/loose interest if I am passive or slow with escalation, need advice

As a guy I am really confused about it

Making a move and being assertive is expected and a good thing as a guy but now a lot of women say they wanna take there time and wanna move forward at a slower pace, well cool...

But on the other hand i know many women are turned off by it when a guy seems passive, i have been there and they wanna move forward or they show concern indirectly that they want me to be more assertive or be more quick in making a move and escalating sexually/physically or turn the conversation into some flirting sense, otherwise they get bored

So really torn between two things, on what to do and how to balance it well and I know every women is different and I have to gauge the interest and pace individually so there is that
