Been seeing a girl for 2 months and she just this morning broke things off very suddenly, and was very up front that it was nothing I did to cause it. Said I’m a great catch but that she wanted to end things now so as not to “hurt me”?
Her stated occupation is “au pair” but is frequently taking very lavish trips that I just don’t believe she can afford on her salary… skydiving and shark diving in Hawaii, sideline NFL games, clubbing in Miami, etc. Wears LV and Jordan’s frequently. Is kind of evasive about her trips and friends.
I really like this girl. Am I just letting my sadness cloud my judgement? I’ve suspected it for a little while now - should I just ask? I want to let her know that I don’t care what she does for money and that it wouldn’t affect the way I felt. I’m afraid it may be too little, too late however.
What do you think? Are there any tell tale signs that would indicate her line of work?
