Post date text etiquette

Hi all,

This may sound silly, I may be overthinking things as it's been a while since I've been dating.

I (M33) recently went on a date with a girl (F30) who was a friend of a friend. The mutual friend we knew was kind enough to put us in touch and play"match maker", the mutual friend mentioned this girl was really keen to meet me.

We went on our date, and she was a nice girl, but there was no spark/attraction there for me. It did feel like she was really into me.

Typically, in today's online dating world, my experience has been that most people would just move on after a date and if you didn't hear anything back, it was basically mutually assumed there was no interest.

This has got me thinking whether this is appropriate etiquette or not. Both in this situation (a setup), and in general.

Is it best to send her a polite follow up text outlining my feelings just so we're clear? If so, what's a suitable message?

Keen to hear what the ladies think is the preferred approach.
