I (23M) recently planned out a date for a girl (23) I've been hanging out with for a few months now, and I was planning to tell her that I have feelings for her, but she has now gone silent for quite some time and didn't respond by the day of the proposed date, and it is a bummer, but with this extra free time I got to thinking...
I only have men as friends. All women I've ever known end up ghosting or telling me they don't want to hang out anymore (or they are my family). That's fine, but the weird thing is that it has never happened with men. I have never had a friendship fall out. I've definitely gone separate ways from childhood friends, but I still keep in touch with them from time to time over the phone and social media. I have never had an enemy or anyone that has blocked me (except for any women I've met that isn't related to me).
The reason why I am here is to get advice on how to interpret this information, and improve myself. I treat women just like anyone else, it just seems like they never stick around. I want to be compassionate and fun to be around for all people, but for some reason I am just not doing something right when it comes to relationships or friendships with women. Also I would like to add that this is for women around my age, since I tend to naturally make friends with people around my age.
