Title of the post.
I read and write a bunch both professionally and recreationally and have noticed recently that I tend to phrase things differently than a lot of people without really trying. For instance, instead of describing someone as "friendly" I might say "affable," and instead of "building a relationship" I might say "cultivating a relationship." I love language and have fun using synonyms, but I'm curious if that's a turn off/neck-beardy on a date.
This is mostly academic because I'm not going to change who I am, especially for casual dating.
