I said we should be friends, but now I’m not sure

Recently met a guy online. We went on a date last week. He wasn’t really my type physically, but he was generally interesting to talk to. I felt little to no chemistry on the date. There was also no physical affection (apart from hugs hello and bye).

After the date, he asked me what I’m looking for, and I told him that I’m a relationship girl. We are both relatively recently single, and he said he is looking for something “not casual, but meaningful though not an actual relationship”. Sounded like situationship/ placeholder vibes to me, so I told him we should just be friends.

He said ok, but also said he doesn’t think that what we each want is too different, and that he finds me “insanely attractive” and hopes that we can consider dating later down the line. I told him we will see.

Anyway. Recently I was at a party and he was there too, and I kind of realized that I hate seeing him act like a single guy with other girls? I honestly thought that I just want to be friends. I’m not sure if it’s just my ego speaking, or something else. Do I keep things at a friend vibe or talk to him about how I felt seeing him with other girls?
