I (20M) have been talking to this girl (22F) for the past five months. We met online, and while we’re not officially dating, there’s definitely something special between us. She has really strong values when it comes to relationships, she’s never been in a relationship, never been on any dates, and she’s made it clear that if she ever commits, it’s for something real and long-term.
I respect that a lot, and in many ways, I feel the same. But since we haven’t met in person yet, I sometimes wonder how to approach this in a way that keeps things natural while also respecting what she wants. I don’t want to give the impression that I’m not serious, but I also don’t want to put too much pressure on things before we even get a real chance to see how we are together in person.
For those who’ve built something meaningful from a distance or with someone who has strong long-term values, how did you navigate it? Any advice on keeping things balanced and moving in the right direction?
