I made a post where I criticized interracial relationships. It was shortly deleted but the reason why I made that post was because of my own experience and little bit of research (Actually, it was a lot).
We have been together for like 2 years or so. Everything was going normal in the beginning but things started to escalate. She was hurting me without even knowing that she was. I kind of had mental problems during the time that we were together but I convinced myself that she's probably doing this out of our own good. I did bring it up a few times but she would always have a way out. She was white so it was basically a daily occurrence to bring up something about my skin color.
One time before she ended the relationship, she was getting verbally abused by her own family. They weren't that keen on interracial relationship so, without a hint of hesitation, she texted me that we should break up. I tried texting her back but I got no response.
So to heal the damage that was done, I was looking for other people who have experienced the same thing. It didn't take that long before I encountered a whole study paper that goes through this bit by bit. Now, I'm almost healed and so, now, I want to hear from white women who are currently dating a black man for a long period of time. How does it feel like dating a black man? Is your family supportive?
