I M28 started seeing F28 about two months ago. Everything has been great, shes a conventionally attractive woman and she truly has been the first person I've dated in my life that started treating my like someone she sees herself with from the very jump, which is something rather refreshing but also new. All in all, great girl and great experience so far.
The few things about her tho, first, shes insta famous. I didnt know this because I dont have instagram, so i never vetted her socials and she never brought it up for weeks. One day out of curiosity I looked her up on google and shes a fitness influencer with about 500k followers. I confronted her about this and she pretty much said she didnt want to date someone in that space and she loves the fact that I'm disconnected from that world, so we moved past that and tbh I understood where she was coming from, with the parasocial relationships with people on there and how toxic and self conscious men get when they know she has a following, so i get it.
The problem however, is that I feel like she lives through relationships on social media. Like she'll send me videos of couples and what they're doing and its almost like she wants us to have such relationship. She'll say stuff like "this is so us" or something like that. I dont want to model my relationship around online relationships, its just weird. I really like her and she really cares about me, but i feel like shes adopting her dating ideas from couples online and I dont like that and Idk how to really address that. comments and advice on how to go about it will be helpful
