So I went on POF. I'm 27, avg looking, slim, educated, intelligent etc. I thought going on POF would make it easier for me to find like minded people (slim avg looking educated intelligent woman) but holy hell, the whole thing has been a resounding disaster.
So I've tried messaging women i found attractive and somewhat attractive. 0 responses. I was like, okay, they're attractive women, probably have guys hitting on them etc. whatever. Then I tried messaging women that I didn't really find cute but were probably in my league or whatever. Still nothing. I was bemused. Then I tried messaging women that I thought were unattractive and they didn't respond either.
What the hell? I know i'm not a model but i thought at least below average women would at least talk to me, or at least respond? I'm not being rude with my messages or anything, do they have much better options to choose from or something? That's unattractive women i'm talking about. I honestly don't get. My profile is completely fine, and their profile is usually "ask me anything" as their entire bio and bathroom selfies.
The only people that will talk to me on there are literally THE most unattractive ones on there, women i certainly would never want to go on a date with period.
It's been a baffling experience. It makes me feel extremely ugly and undesirable, but i've been told i look fine, normal etc by literally everyone i asked. i can't imagine they all lied to me. i certainly never had any "normal" looking people seem to want to talk to me on POF during my time there.
