I (27F) went out with a guy (29M) this Friday. We were distant acquaintances in college, I always thought of him as handsome, but we'd never had a 1-on-1 conversation. Fast forward five years and we matched on Tinder. He asked me out on a board game café date. I felt the date went well, I had fun playing, we laughed, talked, he seemed interested. After three hours, we walked together to the train station, and he gave me a peck on the cheek. I gave him a longing look, he said "oh, do you want to..." and then we kissed. He caught his train, I walked home feeling really good about the date.
Well, it's been two days and nothing. No text, no call. My friends are trying to console me, quoting the three day rule and saying he'll call, but I don't think that's a thing anymore. I'm just disappointed and I know that has to do more with my overall dating life than this one guy. It just sucks. I thought rejection would become easier with age, but I still feel like I did with my unrequited crushes at 15.
