I (25f) have been on a few dates with a new guy (25m) and am trying to play it cool. In the past I think I’ve gotten too focused on a new guy and seemed clingy or too much too quickly. I’m used to always initiating things and not really paying attention to how much energy a guy puts in and I think it’s lead me to relationships with people who don’t really want to put in any effort. So I’m trying to sit back for once and see what his energy is like toward me.
The problem is it is kind of hard for me not to seek reassurance. Now it’s been a week since we hung out. he texts me every day but has not tried to make any plans to hang out again. Should I just keep waiting and then stop texting entirely if he doesn’t initiate another hangout soon?
