Every time I try and have a FWB arrangement with a guy it goes haywire. It's primarily the one thing I'm looking for right now since I still see marriage as a long way off but don't want just a ONS hookup either. I never, ever seem to be able to make it work. Either the guy says he's all for a FWB then I get ghosted after the first time we have sex, or conversely the guy decides he wants to propel things forward and pushes for a serious relationship and commitment after like 2 days. And again, every time this has happened it's been agreed upon that we are FWB. We talk about it, but still it always dissolves.
Am I missing something? Everybody else seems to be able to make FWBs work with no issue. My definition of FWBs is people who hang out, do non-sexual activities but also have sex, maybe talk sometimes, but past that it's mostly detached and there's never any question it's not serious. This seems to be really hard for people. Is my definition off? I don't know why I have such garbage luck.
