This question is kind of broad, and obviously everyone has their own preferences, but I just wanted to get a general idea. Basically, how important is it that the guy you’re going/hanging out with is “dressed well”? Is it a deal breaker by any means? Or do you look for at least some sort of effort into looking nice?
I mean, obviously you don’t want to show up to a date in sweats and a hoodie, at least not on the first date I don’t think. But if you’re a woman going out with a guy on a date (first or otherwise), how “well dressed” do you expect the guy to be? Are you picky about it at all?
I’m asking particularly because lately I’ve been investing in some nice casual dress shirts and some nice jeans; I especially like the “business casual” look and think it works really well for me, regardless of whether or not I’m going out on a date. I’ve made business casual my “look” when hanging out with friends and other people, so I want to ensure that it works on a date. The only thing I struggle with really is color coordination. I don’t want to use the term “deal breaker” as it’s kind of an extreme word especially in a case like this, but for lack of a better term, how much of a “deal breaker” is it when a guy doesn’t “coordinate” his colors while dressing up?
For context, I just turned 22. Dates at this age seem to be a bit more casual but I still would like to be prepared.
