How can I get matches when I’m not the most photogenic female?

I don’t look that good in photos.. or maybe I just think so because I’m insecure but in general I barely get matches however, people in real life tell me I’m attractive a lot but people online say otherwise and I’m starting to think it’s because I’m not photogenic.. this makes online dating kind of hard for me considering first impression is based on photos. Any tips? Or maybe I’m just ugly idk and I don’t trust my judgment because I do have body dysmorphia lol
