So, there's this girl that I've been talking to for more than a year now. We share interests (both play the violin), are both relatively smart, live very close to each other, and go to the same school (to be more specific, we are in the same school district and she's a grade above me). I'm thinking about asking her out, but I don't want to make our friendship awkward as she's my best friend. We text a lot (on a daily basis) but don't hang out much in person (this was accentuated by the quarantine as we're in different schools). What should I do? Feel free to ask more about our situation as I want everyone's advice to be as accurate as possible.
P.S. I've never dated anybody previously.
