What do you during the period from when you setup a date until the date happens? (A week)

Matched with someone online, but date isn't for another 8 days. What do you do until then?

Do you keep talking daily? Or do you keep it at a minimal?

My worry is we get to know each other that there's nothing left to talk about on the date itself. Especially with me, I'm bad at coming up with conversion :(
